Mona Moon Naturals

Mona Moon Naturals

I have been using Mona Moon Naturals products for about a month and I am truly in love with these products, the company and the amazing founder, Mona Samaan-Ockenden. I met Mona through the CleanBeautyCon Virtual Summits. Mona is an amazing business women that is working hard to make a positive impact on the beauty and personal care world. When Mona’s sister was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 that was estrogen based, the family started looking into what could cause this hormone distribution. The family learned that many household products such as cleaners, beauty products, and plastics contain ingredients that could cause hormone distruption.

With all of this new knowledge, the product elimination for the whole family began. The family was striving for cleaner safer options that would help protect the family rather than harm them. Once Mona’s family started this journey; Mona had a mom at her sons school share a recipe for DIY Deodorant paste. Mona tried it out and found out it worked great. Before she knew it, her friends and family were asking for the product and Mona Moon Naturals was born.

All the Mona Moon Natural products are small batch made to order. This is important because you then know you are getting the freshest product possible. All of my orders currently ship from New York to Japan, and hold up wonderfully during shipping and arrive quickly for going around the world.

Deodorant Paste

First and foremost, this is a deodorant and not an antiperspirant. You need to sweat, as much as you may not like it; it is an essential function of the body. It is how your body regulates it temperature and it helps flush out toxins. Natural deodorants can take a few weeks to get used to, the first two weeks I was defiently sweating more than normal as my body got used to properly sweating again and letting the toxins start to release after years of antiperspirant with toxic ingredients. After about 2 weeks I started to sweat less and while working 12 hour days, I was coming home without stinking horribly, which was a new experience for me. To apply the deodorant, you use the little pick and scoop out a pea size amount, put it on your fingers, and then you just message it into your underarm area.

Lip Balm

A wonderful smooth lip balm created from coconut oil, avocado oil, mango butter, beeswax, vitamin E, peppermint or tangerine essential oils. It is a light but hydrating formula that repairs lips leaving them with a luxurious smooth result. With currently wearing a mask all the time, my lips were suffering. They were dry and rough, in a manner of a few days of usage they were completely healed.

Whipped Body Butter

This wonderful whipped body butter is made of a combination of shea butter, mango butter, coconut oil and sweet almond oil. When you scoop out the body butter it begins to melt from the temperature of your body allowing maximum absorption into your skin. When you apply it getting out of the shower, it leaves your skin smooth and fabulous. The hydrating factors really make the colors in my tattoos pop too. A little goes a long way so you only use a little a time. Being a natural product with no preservatives, the body butter may melt when it is in a warm room, but it still goes on wonderfully.
